1. Spirogyra 'Children's Earth' Martin and Mark 40 year anniversary album 1968-2008. This album is available now.
Though Martin and Mark - pictured above in Bolton in 1968, formed 'Spirogyra' as a duo - they never actually recorded an album as a duo - until now. The new album - 'Children's Earth' is now released as a 'Spirogyra' 40 year anniversary album. The music, partly because of Mark's influence, veers in places slightly more to rock/pop than previous Spirogyra releases, although still very folky. Fans of the classic Canterbury Spirogyra may find Martin's new solo release (Rainbow Empire) nearer to the Canterbury Spirogyra style of psychedelic folk! But there are all elements on both albums - so get them both!
